This property was built between 1947 and 1948. At that time it was called Yara Cinema and at the end of 1948 itself, due to unknown events, this institution was burned and its owner sold it to Mr. Luis Mayor, who also owned many other properties in the place and in 1955 completed its capital repair. With the Triumph of the Revolution and the subsequent declaration of its socialist character, private properties began to be eliminated, and this property became socialist property and took its current name. Among the filmography of its room we find: Lo que el viento se llevó el viento, Algo para recordar, Un hombre de verdad and Memorias del subdesarrollo. In 1979 it was renovated again, becoming much more functional.
