Within the singular tourist resources are the caves of the cyclone, refuge of the peasants of the zone before meteorological events, the cave of the water that forms a natural swimming pool for those who prefer to receive a bath of a river with crystalline waters and free of contamination. Due to the whims of nature, this river enters and leaves the beautiful valley going through its periphery as a silent guardian who takes care of the beauty of the place.

The Ancon Valley stands before history, because on August 29, 1959 the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz arrived at the place, accompanied by Celia Sánchez and Antonio Núñez Jiménez. Impressed by the place he visited the caves of the cyclone and the water.

In the presence of the Commander, the enthusiasm of the peasants was not long in coming, they mobilized in a place close to the house of the peasant Clemente Morejón, affectionately known as Macuca. The leader of the Revolution established a pleasant dialogue whose content revolved around the economic and social transformations of the neighbors. After hours, the Commander attended a lunch given by the Macuca family. The tasty peasant dinner and topics such as the agrarian reform caused that precious time to pass, in which little by little the potentialities of the place for tourist purposes were discovered.

After the visit of the Commander, distinguished personalities have visited the place, among them our first dancer Alicia Alonso who would spend the night in the cave of the cyclone and the actress Geraldine Chaplin who was amazed with the place.
