Are the Pinar del Río people the parents of the Mayas?

There is almost a consensus in the opinion of 19th century American historians that Yucatan was populated by aborigines who passed there from today's Pinar del Río and recently, prestigious archeologists support this thesis.

If, as geologists state, our Island was united to the continent before the very existence of the hominid, that is to say, that it is not thousands, but hundreds of thousands of years the probable number in which they could communicate by land; and on the other hand, neither archaeologists, paleontologists, anthropologists, nor any other specialist speaks about a homo cubensis, that is to say, of the man  origin in Cuba... then, apart from the idea of an extraterrestrial presence, or of mysticism? Atlantis, we must think of a civilization, a culture, that knew navigation, that has visited us, has established itself here and then has passed to Yucatan. (....)
